I can't believe that JT will be a year in a month. Where has the time gone? He has grown up so much in the last few months. He is a very independent kid. He has a mind of his own and if he doesn't get what he wants he will let you know it. He is also going through the girl scream phase. I seriously hope it doesn't last much longer. :) He now weighs a whopping 18 lbs 14 oz and is 29 1/2'' tall. He loves food. For how much he eats you would think that he should weigh more. He will pretty much eat whatever is in front of him. He also has decided that he will walk when he wants to. He can stand in the middle of the floor if he isn't thinking about it and he will even take a few steps (though they are pretty wobbly.) He loves being with daddy and helping in anyway he can. He loves xbox controllers, computer cords, and anything else he shouldn't have. He cut another tooth on top so we are now at 5 teeth with more swollen. We are now in the stage of taking the binky away during the day. It hasn't been bad so far. The test comes when he has to go to sleep without it. Anyway... sorry for the novel. I would love any ideas for food that your kids love to eat.
I hurt my back on Monday night. I don't even know what I did, but I woke up yesterday in so much pain. After seeing the Dr. I found out I have a pinched nerve in my back. So I got some muscle relaxers and pain pills and I went to the chiropractor. OUCH! I am going in tomorrow for a shot in my back and hopefully things will start feeling better. Anyway, I didn't go to work yesterday, but I went today. I did something pretty crazy and made us all laugh. Here is a picture. See if you can get it. :)
- I have a confession to make. Before this year I have hated mothers day. I always put on the happy face and tried to act ok, but deep down inside I hurt so bad. I told Jon it was Happy Wife's Day just so I could get "not being a mom" out of my head. As I woke up this morning and got JT out of his crib I was overcome with emotion. The time had finally come that Jon could say Happy Mother's Day and it was true. I never thought we would get to this point. I LOVE being a mom. It is the best job in the world. JT makes everything better especially when I am having a bad day. I had such a wonderful day and I am so lucky. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful and precious son. Who could ask for more.
When Trey and JT are together they are pretty much inseparable now. They are both at a cute age and just get so excited to see each other. Megan and I decided to take some pictures with the boys tonight for fun and we got some cute ones. Pace is a still too little to participate, but we did get one with them all together. This is my favorite picture with a little bit of help from photoshop.
Ok... here is the story first and than I will show you our visitor. Jon went to the dentist yesterday and planned on staying home with JT. So I went into work late. I put JT down for a nap and chilled at my computer. Our dog wanted to go outside so I opened the sliding glass door to let him out. My computer chair is right next to the door. All of the sudden I heard scurrying and saw a flash of something running into my house and behind my computer. I leapt onto my chair and my heart was pounding so fast. The only thing I could think of was that it HAD to have been a mouse. I HATE MICE!!!!!!!!! I stood on my chair for about 5 minutes before I had the guts to look by my computer. There was my visitor... I quickly put up the baby gate between the kitchen and dining room (Jon says it wouldn't have done anything) and went outside. Jon was luckily on his way home and helped get this "thing" out of my house
