- I have a confession to make. Before this year I have hated mothers day. I always put on the happy face and tried to act ok, but deep down inside I hurt so bad. I told Jon it was Happy Wife's Day just so I could get "not being a mom" out of my head. As I woke up this morning and got JT out of his crib I was overcome with emotion. The time had finally come that Jon could say Happy Mother's Day and it was true. I never thought we would get to this point. I LOVE being a mom. It is the best job in the world. JT makes everything better especially when I am having a bad day. I had such a wonderful day and I am so lucky. I have a wonderful husband and a beautiful and precious son. Who could ask for more.

that is so funny, my mom and i were talking abouot that yesterday too! she said that she hated mothers day, and then one mothers day she was really depressed, and that was the day that she got the call that i was born! pretty good mothers day present if you ask me!! she was so excited she hung up without asking where or when to get me or anything! happy mothers day!!
ps. heck yeah we all need to play the wii! we will have a party! only 8 days!
What a neat day! I can't wait until next year:) Well you mentioned you gave your birthmom a willow tree figurine and our friend whose a birthmom said she still had the willow tree her adoptive couple had given her, so we prayed about it and went with that. It was the perfect gift. Thanks for your suggestion:)
