Help!!!

Ok so I need advice from all you experienced moms out there. JT will not drink milk. He was doing ok for awhile as long as I warmed it up and he would drink almost a full sippy cup in the morning and at night. Well this week he decided he was done with that. A couple of people told me to add nesquick to it and see if he likes that. Well it kind of worked, but he still will only take a couple of sips. He has become a very picky eater. Ahhhhh it is frustrating. So does anyone have any tricks or tips for me? I welcome anything. He needs to gain weight and not drinking milk isn't helping.

Kate won't really drink tons of milk either .... I just feed her lots of cheese and whole milk yogurt.

Some people use instant breakfast ... they have several flavors.

There's only so much you can do ...

Have you tried soy milk? JJ wouldnt drink milk once he got over being lactose intolerant, and until very recently, he only liked the soy. And you can get the soy with DHA and ARA too... Also try the strawberry instant breakfast, JJ loves them! Yogurt, yogurt...and more yogurt! Good luck :)

Lynzi was never a big milk drinker either. I tried to put milk in her food items, like scrambled eggs & mashed potatoes. Also I tried cheese and yogurt.
I don't think adding a little flavoring would be a big problem either.

I went thru this with Jaxson-he needed to gain weight and he was so picky-I started making smoothies-milk-frozen fruit-ice-prowderded protien-vanilla works great-you can get it about anywhere but walmart is pretty cheap-you can choose to add two teasp sugar if you like-blend it good and if you let him help drop the stuff in they are more excited about it. it's easy and filled with protien and will help with the weight gain also. My doctor has me do this my last trimester but with ice cream- Good Luck!!!

Lil' went through a time when she didn't really care for milk as well, I tried to supplement with other dairy: yogurt, cheese, etc. All of the earlier suggestions are a good idea...every kid is so different, so it's definitely a process of trial and error. Love the picture of the two of you at the top of you blog BTW.

hey! i don't know if you know me..i'm megans friend Leah. this happened to us too. saige is in the 10th percent in weight. my doc told me to give her pediasure in the morning and at night. Its sweeter then milk and has lots of extras in it. Saige also hated milk. I let it go for like a month not giving it to her and then after that month I tried again and she drank it! so try that? how this helps! good luck!

Julian doesn't drink much milk either. I do give him chocolate milk often though. But yeah for the calories I would try like pediasure or something super full of calories. My ped wasn't too concerned about it, he (J) is getting tons of calcium from cheese and yogurt. But I wanted to tell you that I had NO idea that G was 18 lbs, I thought he was 15. Julian was about 20 lbs at 4 months, so G is much smaller :)

Grace eats anything, but I have heard of a book by Jerry Seinfeld's wife, Jessica, wrote a book called "Deceptively Delicious" that is supposed to help with getting kids to eat veggies, etc.

Cute cute picture at the top of the blog.
